More than most things, people crave convenience when tackling the chores of life. And one such chore -- bill paying -- is not only taxing, but it’s a time-consuming process through traditional methods. In 2008, doxo responded to the public’s complaints about antiquated bill pay measures with its own online portal for completing this life chore. The Seattle, Washington, company launched the site to significant praise, which it has continually received for its first decade of service from Market Watch, Seattle Business and other outlets. doxo allows consumers to access multiple personal bill statements from one access point, paying the bills through the same portal and utilizing multiple streams of payment options to complete the task. It improved its processes over the years to include mobile capabilities, real-time market analytics for billers and improved customer service.
The years that followed doxo’s launch led to many awards for the company, including Company of the Year in Computer Services at the 16th Annual American Business Awards, a Red Herring Top 100 winner and honors for best mobile app for productivity from the 18th Annual Webby Awards. These achievements only further demonstrate the positive impact that doxo is having on such a critical yet cumbersome aspect of society and life.
